Platform Decking FAQ
Yes. We design our PATHWAY® HD Platform Decking as part of our modular PATHWAY HD system, so it works seamlessly with compatible ramps, platforms, and stairs. The modular design allows you to combine components and create a customized access solution that fits your layout and application.
Our PATHWAY® HD platform systems, including decking, are engineered to support a uniform live load of 100 lbs per square foot and a concentrated vertical load of 300 lbs. Always be sure not to exceed the rated load and follow all installation and safety guidelines provided with the system.
Yes. We offer compatible railing options designed to integrate with the PATHWAY® HD system. These include two-line rail systems, with a top rail and midrail, and picketed guard rail systems. These options provide added safety and can be configured to meet project requirements and code compliance needs.
Yes. Our PATHWAY® HD system is built from corrosion-resistant aluminum, which is designed to withstand high-traffic use and harsh environments for long-term outdoor performance. Because aluminum will not rust, rot, or corrode, the system provides years of low-maintenance use. We do recommend following the maintenance guidelines outlined in the installation manual, including periodic checks and general upkeep to ensure safe, optimal performance.
Our PATHWAY® HD systems are designed as code-compliant access solutions for commercial and public environments, including temporary or permanent structures that must meet ADA, IBC, and OSHA requirements. While they are primarily intended for commercial applications, these systems can also be utilized in certain residential settings where a robust, code-compliant access solution is needed.
The specific parts needed will depend on your layout and project design. Because our PATHWAY® HD system is modular, we can configure a solution using a variety of compatible components. Depending on your application, configurations may include a combination of PATHWAY® HD platforms used to create the deck surface, support legs and feet, handrails and guard systems, bracing, ramps, and stairs. These components are designed to work together, allowing us to create a safe, code-compliant access solution that fits your space and requirements.
