I have been in the industry for around 30 years and have seen all kinds of changes in our business making us look for other opportunities. Our company has been in the home access business for 15 years. Part of our offering is home access ramps. I have built wood ramps and welded steel ramps, have tried multiple different aluminum ramp manufacturers --sometimes with terrible results --until we partnered with EZ-ACCESS several years ago. We found out that the product was greatly superior to their competitors and much easier to install in the field, increasing our profits by as much as 15-20%. Having the MOD Team to help with layouts and quotations has allowed me increased time to take on more projects.

The quick turnaround time in shipping standard as well as custom ramps has allowed me to be awarded additional contracts that have severe time constraints. An example happened in July of this year. Short story is we received the ramp in four days at 3 PM in the afternoon and finished the installation by 6PM as the soldier arrived home after one year of rehab to be able to roll into his home with ease. It was incredibly rewarding to see the customer's wife come down the ramp in her wheelchair for the first time. She has MS and had not been out of the house for WEEKS because her husband had hurt his back carrying her down the stairs from the house to the garage. You may not see it very often from where you are, but you should know that the work you are doing is very important and that there are people whose lives are changed because of your products. I was fortunate to see it first-hand last Friday, and believe me, it was a moving experience.
